Reflections Academy of Beauty educates and trains students for in-demand careers in the beauty industry learning the fundamentals through advanced techniques in a comprehensive, hands-on cosmetology program featuring haircutting, hair styling, hair coloring, and marketing and business skills.
The State of Illinois requires 1500 hours of training which takes approximately eleven and one-half (11 1/2) months full-time. Students start at Freshman level where they learn basic theory and practical skills. After successful completion of this level, students graduate to working with live clients in our clinic. All work is monitored by a licensed instructor. The skills learned throughout the program will prepare students to take the State Board Exam and to obtain an entry-level position.
500 Hour
The State of Illinois requires Cosmetologists, with two years’ experience, wishing to obtain the Instructor license to take 500 hours of training which takes approximately five (5) months to complete on a full-time schedule. The course is designed to teach the methods and principles of teaching. Upon completion students will be prepared to take the State Board Exam to acquire the Instructor license.
1000 Hour
The State of Illinois requires Cosmetologists wishing to obtain the Instructor license to take 1000 hours of training, if they do not have a least two years’ experience, which takes approximately nine (9) months to complete on a full-time schedule. The course is designed to teach the methods and principles of teaching. Upon completion students will be prepared to take the State Board Exam to acquire the Instructor license.
