Cosmetology

The primary purpose of the Cosmetology courses is to train the student in basic manipulative skills, safety judgments, proper work habits and desirable attitudes necessary for entry level positions in Cosmetology or related career avenue. The Cosmetology Courses consist of 1500 hours of instruction of both theoretical and practical skill development required for licensure by the Department of Regulatory Agencies. Theory and practice precede laboratory activities and students must complete the theory and practical for each exercise in the Basic Freshman curriculum and receive a passing grade on each exercise before being allowed to participate in laboratory activities. Theory and practice are integrated throughout the course.

Esthetics

The nail technology courses consist of 20 credit hours of instruction of both theoretical and practical skill development required for licensure by the Department of Regulatory Agencies.
