You must have your high school diploma or GED.
To become a cosmetology instructor, you must have your cosmetology license, 1400 work hours, 38 training hours, and pass 3 exams.
Your license needs to be renewed every 3 years. There is an $81 fee.
If you're from another state and want to practice in Minnesota, you must have verification of your current licensure, high school diploma, and completion of exams. Plus, you must have an application for reciprocity.
