State of Oklahoma, Esthetics Certification Requirements
You must be at least 16 years of age with an 8th grade education.
To become a cosmetology instructor, you'll need your cosmetology license, 1000 training hours, or 500 hours plus 2 years of work experience.
You must renew your license every year by the last day of your birthday month. There is a $25 fee.
To work in Oklahoma if you're from another state, you'll need to have a cosmetology license from a state with equal or greater licensing requirements. You must have at least 3 years of work experience. You have to take the state exam.
There are no CEUs required.
