State of Arizona, Nail Care Certification Requirements

You must be at least 23 years old and have 2 years of high school education or a GED.

To become an instructor you'll need 1 year with your license plus 650 hours instructor training.

License renewal is every year by your birthday. There is a $30 fee.

To practice in another state, you need at least 1 year working in your current state of licensure within 5 years of application.

There is no continuing education required.

Educational requirements in Arizona are:

Aesthetician – 600 hours
Barber – 1500 hours
Cosmetologist – 1600 hours
Manicurist – 400 hours
Cosmetologist Instructor – 650 hours
Aesthetic Instructor – 500 hours
Nail Technician Instructor – 350 hours
