State of Iowa, Nail Care Certification Requirements
You must be at least 16 years old with a 10th grade education or equivalent.
To become an instructor, you must have your cosmetology license plus 1000 teacher training hours. Or, you must have 2 years of experience in the last 6 years.
Your license must be renewed by December 31st of even-numbered years. There is a $60 fee.
To practice in Iowa from another state, you must transfer through endorsement. Your license must be from a state that has similar or equivalent requirements for 12 of the last 24 months.
There are 8 CEUs required every 2 years.
