State of Virginia, Nail Care Certification Requirements
There are no prerequisite requirements for age or education.
To become a cosmetology instructor, you must have your cosmetology license and a post-secondary course in teaching techniques, or a board-approved instructor training course, or pass the cosmetology instruction exam.
Your license must be renewed every 2 years by the date of the original licensure. There is a $40 fee.
If you want to practice cosmetology in Virginia and your from another state, your license must be from a state with similar or greater training requirements. You'll need to submit an application for endorsement, plus have proof of your license.
There are no CEUs required.
