State of Georgia, Hair Styling Certification Requirements
You must be at least 17 years old.
To become an instructor, you must have your cosmetology license plus 750 training hours. There is a written and practical exam you'll need to pass.
Your license needs to be renewed by March 31 of every even-numbered year. There is a $50 fee.
To practice in Georgia if you're from another state, you must be licensed from a state with similar requirements that grants reciprocity to Georgia licenses.
There are 5 CEUs needed every 2 years to get your license renewed.
