State of Michigan, Hair Styling Certification Requirements
You must be at least 17 years old with a 9th grade education.
To get your instructor license, you must already have your cosmetology license plus 500 training hours.
You must get your licensed renewed every 2 years by the end of August. There is a $48 fee.
If you want to practice in Michigan but you're from another state, you must hold a valid license from a state with similar or greater licensing requirements.
There are no CEU requirements.
