Take the First Step Toward Your Cosmetology Career Now!
Remington College is a non-profit career college, focused on helping students achieve their educational goals. Our students learn by doing with hands-on training in modern labs; and they are taught by instructors who have years of experience in their fields. Remington College also offers both hybrid and online learning opportunities to give our students convenient options to best suit their needs. A member from our dedicated admissions team can walk you through our program offerings and help you find the best option to meet your educational goals.
Remington College’s Cosmetology Associate Degree program covers industry fundamentals and the basics of skin care, hair care, and nail care. The Cosmetology curriculum in our program also includes an overview of small business principles and basics, to help students learn the skills that may be necessary to open their own salon or spa. No previous cosmetology college experience is necessary for program entry.
Cosmetologists provide haircutting, hairstyling, make-up application, skin care, and nail care to their clients in salons and spas. They may be part-time or full-time, and many can work a flexible schedule with nights and weekends common in the industry.
You’ll begin your salon training in the early phases of this 12-month diploma program. Our student salon, known as The Remington College School of Cosmetology, can accommodate up to 30 students at a time.
Two instructors oversee students during salon hours, and about 40 customers can be serviced in the salon at once. It’s a great working environment to learn in! You’ll take turns in roles like receptionist, hairstylist, manicurist, and make-up artist. Services that you may provide while you work the beauty, hair, and salon school floor include facials, manicures, acrylic and gel nails, haircuts, waves, relaxers, extensions, and more!
Remington College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). For 45 years, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) has been at the forefront of establishing and advancing quality education at post-secondary schools and colleges.
