Spa Tech Institute was created in 2001 with the merger of Headhunter II School of Cosmetology, founded in 1976, and the Polarity Realization Institute, founded in 1980 by Nancy Risley. The school grew to four locations in Ipswich, Plymouth, Westboro, Massachusetts and Westbrook, Maine, mirroring the growth of the salon and spa industries since 2001. Federal Student Financial Aid is available for qualified students.
