State of Kansas, Hair Styling Certification Requirements
You must be at least 17 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
To become an instructor, you must have your cosmetology license plus 300 training hours, plus 450 teaching hours.
Your license must be renewed every 2 years the in the month you originally got licensed. There is a $60 fee.
If you want to practice in Kansas from another state, you must have a license from a state with similar or equivalent requirements. You must pass an open book exam.
